Hi everyone…..well they made it to Toronto…. the option for connections was either they leave for Saskatoon at 8 in the morning or 8 in the evening. So, they figured, let’s spend the day in Toronto.
They met back up with Kim’s folks and headed downtown. After lunch or brunch for some, they jumped in an Uber and headed for graffiti alley. Some people would recognize it, because it is where Rick Mercer films his infamous “rants” for his show. It is 1 kilometre of alleyways with some really cool art. They walked part of it…they had to be quick, because they needed to make it to their show. Kim loved all the cool photo opportunities.
After the quick tour, they jumped in another Uber and headed to the Elgin theatre to watch the musical Come From Away. This was awesome! It’s based on the true story of the people in the town of Gander, Newfoundland and how they came together to help a number of people on planes during 9/11. It is a story of the kindness of strangers and how they banded together in time of need. Truly inspiring Kim said….John said one of the best he has seen. Go see this folks if you can!
Well that’s it…..they are back home now and they came home to snow….lol….Frazier is happy….he loves winter!
If you get the chance, go exploring….Kim says you meet nice people and it’s always and adventure.
