This has been a wonderful and educational inside look at Vietnam–thanks for taking us along on a virtual tour.
No matter what you read, or are taught at school ,it is somehow ‘sanitized’. Those tunnels aren’t very big so there may have been incentive to stay trim and fit if one wanted to escape! Sad affair and as you say, there are no winners in war.
Possibly some world leaders should go to these places and experience this–and LEARN–then work toward getting along. You listening Donald?
The people seem fantastic , friendly, inviting you into their homes. What a memorable experience you’ve had.
It is Fri 8 am so you are likely somewhere over the Pacific now. I dont know what time you arrive home. Saw brief tv news–Big Island Hawaii has level 5 earthquake and a volcano is erupting.. Talk about double whammy. And some of us complain about weather in Sask. Thank dog!! nothing even close to this happens here. As Teddy and the crew would say , ”Paws crossed’.
